Customised language learning

Prepare for academic success with 18-20 lessons of weekly tutor-led instruction, Monday through Friday. With small class sizes, we ensure personalised attention to your unique abilities in the four key language areas.

This also means we tailor instruction to your abilities in all four language domains and help you develop skills crucial to your academic success. 

By the end of 10 weeks, a final assessment will attest to your progress and the learning strategies you have developed for the rest of your academic journey.

Curriculum

  • Develop listening skills: Enhance your ability to understand spoken English through various audio materials, including dialogues, interviews, and presentations. 

  • Improve speaking skills: Practice speaking English fluently and accurately in different contexts, such as conversations, discussions, and presentations. 

  • Build vocabulary and grammar: Expand your vocabulary and master grammar structures through engaging activities and exercises. 

  • Enhance reading comprehension: Improve your reading skills by analysing and understanding texts of varying lengths and complexity. 

  • Strengthen writing skills: Learn to write effectively in English by practising different types of writing tasks, such as emails, essays, and reports. 

  • Develop listening skills: Understand the main ideas and some details of spoken language on a wide range of topics, including both familiar and unfamiliar situations. Improve your ability to follow conversations, lectures, and presentations. 

  • Enhance speaking skills: Express yourself fluently and spontaneously in discussions, expressing opinions, and providing reasons and explanations. Practice giving short presentations on a variety of topics. 

  • Build vocabulary and grammar: Expand your vocabulary and master more complex grammatical structures so that you may communicate more accurately and confidently. Use idiomatic expressions and collocations appropriately in different contexts. 

  • Improve reading comprehension: Students will develop the ability to understand the main ideas and specific details of written texts, including articles, stories, and authentic materials such as advertisements and emails. They will also work on inferring meaning from context and identifying the writer's purpose and viewpoint. 

  • Strengthen writing skills: Practice writing different types of texts, including essays, reports, and formal letters, focusing on organisation, coherence, and accuracy. Develop your ability to express complex ideas clearly and effectively. 

  • Strengthen your language proficiency: Consolidate and expand your knowledge of grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation, focusing on more complex language structures and expressions. 

  • Enhance your listening skills: Improve your ability to understand a wide range of spoken English, including lectures, interviews, discussions, and presentations. Practice identifying main ideas, supporting details, and nuances in spoken texts. 

  • Develop your speaking fluency: Express yourself confidently and coherently in various contexts, such as debates, role-plays, presentations, and discussions. Focus on using a broader range of vocabulary and more sophisticated language patterns to convey ideas effectively. 

  • Advance your reading comprehension: Read and analyse authentic texts of increasing complexity, including articles, essays, reports, and narratives. Understand detailed information, identifying the author's tone and purpose, and making inferences based on context. 

  • Improve your writing skills: Produce well-structured, coherent written texts, such as essays, reports, reviews, and formal letters. Focus on organising your ideas logically, using appropriate language registers, and incorporating evidence and examples to support your arguments.
